In a bizzare incedent, a girl sutying in fourth-standard has given birth to a baby. The girl names her child ‘Otyachar’ (Atrocity).
The incedent has taked place in Gilarchala village under Sripur municipality in Gazipur district of Bangladesh. The people in the village were shocked to know of the incedent and demanded stringent punishment of the accused. Later the father of the girl dared to lodge a complaint following which the accused was arrested and later released on bail.
According to locals, the girl and her family had been staying as tenant in the house. Landlord’s son had been disturbing the girl for some time but the girl turned a deaf ear and blind eye to his ‘filthy’ proposals. Angered over the rejections, the boy raped the minor girl and threatened her with dire consequences if she revealed to anybody.
However, the girl and her family dared to report the matter to the family of the boy in hope they would get justice, on the contrary, the accused and his family not only refused to listen to their plight but turned them away.
The family has been running from pillar to post seeking justice but the family of thd boy which is both influential and resourceful in the region has resorted to various means of torture on the girl and her mother. According to complaint lodged by the girl’s family, the boy after raping the minor girl has raped her mother. Not just raping both mother and daughter but has been carrying out torture on the new born baby.
