Today in 1969 Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on the moon

Bangla Hunt/ Pallab Ghosh: Many are not even aware that July 20th marks a very special day in history especially for those who love to follow astronomy or space studies. This day in 1969 around 4:18 pm US astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin had touched the surface of the moon with their lunar module ‘Eagle’. A new history was made and the entire country was astonished to hear that finally, man has landed on the moon.

50-long-years have passed to this historic event. In fact, India too has created history by sending astronauts in the space and now planning to send an Indian astronaut on the moon.
