Those who belong to era of All India Radio will recall the iconic voice of Barun Haldar reading the 9’o clock news. Those were the golden days of radio.
Barun Haldar passed away on Thursday. He was a popular presenter of Western Music on AIR Kolkata. Later he shifted to Delhi as English newsreader. Haldar retired as Chief Newsreader of AIR in 1990. After retirement, he settled in Dehradun.
His mortal remains will be consigned to flames after his Daughter arrives from Canada.
