Bangla Hunt, Pallab Ghosh: Narendra Modi reached the new party office situated at Rouse Avenue, New Delhi and addressed the nation. He thanked the people for ushering in their confidence in his leadership. He reiterated, “It’s not my victory, but victory of democracy. I regard this victory as the win of hapless who had been suffering due to poor governance”. In his first address to the nation after gaining massive victory in the polls, Modi assured the people that he will not let them down.

Earlier, Modi met the party workers at the office and expressed his gratitude for the hard work. Party president Amit Shah however, in his opening remarks took a pick at the Mahagathbandhan alliances. Shah mocked the opposition for creating hue and cry over the Exit Poll results. He advised Chandrababu Naidu to work more for his state Andhra Pradesh rather than spending time running around West Bengal and Delhi. Shah said, Naidu would have managed to get good number of seats had he stayed connected with people in his state.
